Obamania: Mr. President of the World

"Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen - a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world." -Obama

I'm going to try to avoid my head shaking comments on Obama's grandiose moment in time speech or this could turn into a rather lengthy "I lowered the oceans" and re-invented the internet write-up.

Obama is a manipulating opportunist.

Obama first tells us he is going on a 'fact finding' mission, and NOT campaigning.
Meanwhile, he has a plane being painted, US flag removed from plane tail, campaign idoltry sticker embedded, and slogans down the length of this plane for his non-campaign trip.
Then when tax payers complain that he thinks we are fools, he sees again he is caught and splits the difference. The campaign will pay for part of the trip and the taxpayers can pay for the part where he is presumed to be an acting Senator while in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Meanwhile, previous to having ever left the states, the significance of the "gorbachev gate" speech which had already been written, becomes clear when Obama tells us all of the "walls" that have to be torn down. The 'tear down those walls' photo-op moment invoking Reagan.
But this wasn't a staged campaign trip.
Meanwhile back in Israel they are tearing down all of the Obama posters his staff have hung up on walls at sacred sites.
But this wasn't a campaign trip.
To empathize this non--campaign fact finding trip he tells 200,000 20,000 gathered germans (many of whom were waving the same size US flags in the crowd, apparently they brought these from their own homes) that:

"Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen - a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world."

Soooo, for some reason every stagecrafted effort is made to make this egomanic's moment, at the center of his own royal universe, look like a campaign while in 'words', every effort is made too deny it.
?
This wasn't a campaign trip.
?

Ok , we all know it was - and it is- but it's not - and it's NOT - but it is - and

Team Obama persisted with the preposterous contention that the Berlin speech was not a campaign event, Susan Rice, another Obama foreign policy aide, was also accused of hubris.

"It is not going to be a political speech,' she said. "When the President of the United States goes and gives a speech, it is not a political speech or a political rally." A reporter reminded her: "But he is not President of the United States."

So ok. So it's not a campaign speech.

So here is the kicker. Why is it a proud citizen of the United States, not on a campaign tour, immediately does two things.
1. Uses his speech to start sending out emails for those Campaign contributions.
2. States that plans to go and visit wounded warriors at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, a military hospital in Germany, and the Ramstein Air Base, had been cancled because Obama felt it would appear to be "inappropriate" for a candidate to do so while campaigning.

Nothing else he has done is inappropriate - but seeing our wounded troops is?

He is campaigning - he's not campaigning - he is- he's not -he is ... One of us is dizzy.

The senator decided out of respect for these servicemen and women that it would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign,” Gibbs said.

OUT of "respect for"?

Yeah, out of respect for your service and sacrafice I am going to diss you all- because after all the denials- this is the campaign leg of my trip - so long.

Because of Obama's 'dual' stance and rhetoric on everything he can't make proper choices or do the right things.

The audacity of this guy grows and grows. But his decission process is just as bad.

How to avoid an appearnce of "inappropriate" candidate photo-op moments? Or accusations of pandering to the voters via the troops as backdrop?

Well, doh-ing- you go see and talk privately to the troops who have sacraficed for this country, as a world citizen or as A US Senator, and you leave your press mob behind.

I mean after all Obama worked out a way to meet 2 months ago /privately/ with Imam Qazwini, who supports Palestinian homicide bombings, HAMAS, and Hezbollah.

Now that's appropreate respect?

Apparently if Obama, who had time to shoot some hoops, can't get some photos and make a speech then he just doesn't have time for the wounded warriors; or the guy just can't make appropreate decissions.

BTW, have you ever seen Obama pass out US flags here at home? I've only seen them once in his crowds.

Setting aside his speech for redistribution of global wealth, shared sacrafice, barely resisting denigrating imperfect America as usual, and openly running for president of a marxist world...

Obama's non-campaign pandering for approval of most Europeans who want a European Socialist President, and dislike the United States immensely, and then disrespecting our troops by saying he didn't want the appearance of 'pandering' while campaigning is utter nonsense.

So in the entire trip the one moment in time that a clear Obama picture of what part of it was actual "campaigning" was defined at last in not visiting America's wounded troops.

Obama has no business being their Commander in Chief.

UPDATE!:
Now we are hearing 2 days later (On CNN no less!!) that when Obama heard there would be NO CAMERAS allowed, nor his CAMPAIGN STAFF, it is Then that he decided to call off the trip to see the troops even though he was approved to go as A U.S. Senator, with any Senatorial staff.

The Pentagon did not deny Obama access to the troops as Obama's third or fourth bumbling excuse has tried to portray.

In addition letters from soldiers are drifting in claiming that Obama made no efforts to talk with troops in Iraq and Afghanistan either - one such letter here: Victory comes from winning, not from "change."

So there you go. Now the dizzy back and forth - is campaigning- is not campaigning - makes perfect sense now. He didn't go to the scheduled trip to visit the wounded troops because the cameras wouldn't be on him.

This Obama is dispicable.
